What Lily's Been Up To

Lily is growing and changing by leaps and bounds. She is talking a ton and it is so nice to be able to communicate with her. When she is tired she jabbers and jabbers about nothing and we can't get her to stop. It's pretty funny...until it's not because we can't get her to stop.

She is loving nursery which is such a blessing. She loves playing with Chloe and Carson and Catherine and all of her other friends. Her favorite part is the bubbles, treats, songs, and coloring....hmmm she seems to love all of nursery!! Here is a video of her singing a nursery song:

Lily loves to build things. Grandma Mecham got her blocks for the grandkids to play with when they come to visit. Her favorite is building towers. She also likes to build chairs to sit on and "houses" (the blocks in a square and she sits in the middle).

Lily is starting to love books. The other night Grandma read "Are you My Mother?" to her. After each page she would fall off of Grandma's lap laughing she thought it was so funny. Her favorite book right now is called The Very Cranky Bear by Nick Bland. We have read it so many times to her that she practically has it memorized and likes reading it to us!

She is such a joy, even during her terrible 2 tantrums. We are glad she is in our life!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

My birthday was pretty low key this year. Dan had to work that night so we had lunch and Dan and Lily made me a really yummy oreo cheesecake. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! That night my mom made yummy hash and my favorite jello cake.

I didn't even open presents! I just bought a few shirts and a dress for my pregger tummy to fit in.

In the video Lily sings the whole song of Happy Birthday! I think she learned it in nursery. Unfortunately Dan had to sing too in order for her to sing (he was hoping she would sing and he could just record) so we it's hard to hear her. Listen really closely!!

Lily was so excited for my birthday! At first she thought it was her birthday. I am so sad we have to wait until the end of the year to celebrate it. Anyways, she finally figured out it was my birthday. The morning of my birthday she ran into my room and said "Happy Birthday Mommy!" Then she ran out and back in again to wish me happy birthday again.

It was a great day.

Any Last Guesses?

It's a Girl!

We were pretty surprised. This pregnancy has been much easier than the first so we figured it was a boy. I was so excited to go garage selling for cute boy things.

But we are soooo excited to have a girl!

Lily's ultrasound was completely different from this baby's. Lily was spread eagle and practically begged us to find out that she was a girl! This baby stayed curled up in a ball and it took about 15 minutes of prodding for her to turn the right way so we could see that she was a girl.

We didn't get any good pictures of her face. She kept her hand over her face or turned away from us almost the whole time.

Anyways, two girls, two completely different personalities. We are excited to get to meet her!
