Lily had a cold a couple of weeks ago. She had a runny nose, runny & red eyes, & a little cough. She is well over her cold but she still coughs sometimes when she is "talking". This video shows Lily talking a lot & she coughs at the end.

The Sacramento Storm
The storm that hit us today was pretty powerful!! The wind was strong & knocked down 3 trees in our neighborhood plus another 1/2 of a tree in our backyard. It was garbage day & garbage cans were strewn all over the neighborhood. The power was out from 8am-2:30pm. Dan came home on his lunch hour & built us a fire since there was no heat & brought hot dogs to roast over the fire. It was exciting!
San Francisco
We were finally able to go visit our friends--Andrew, Angela and Hope Ringlein in the East Bay. We went to a restaurant called Cafe Claude that served French food. My favorite was the dessert Creme Brulle. Afterwards we walked all over China Town which was huge!! We saw how they made fortune cookies. I felt like I was in another country. It was great. It was fun to spend time with our friends.
Newells

Our friends the Newells invited us over for dinner and games at their house. Tim used to work with Dan at BSB. They also went to USU and lived in Nibley although I didn't know them there. It was so nice to go and relax with friends and enjoy good food. Lily especially enjoyed Tim's thumb. She wasn't into sucking, though. She gnawed on it and wasn't happy when he pulled it out.
Christmas
Christmas treated us well this year. We are so grateful for all of the thoughtful gifts we were given. Later in the day we went to our friend Aaron & Brooke's parent's house (Brooke's). It was so fun to be with a family since we couldn't be with our own. The food was amazing!! They even bought us presents! They were so thoughtful and we appreciated their kindness. Singing was my favorite part of the day. All of the girls in Brooke's family can sing so it was fun to harmonize.
Christmas Eve
For Christmas Eve we went over to the Tracy's house for Family Home Evening. Danita was in charge of the lesson & music. It was a great night. We carried on the Mecham tradition of rootbeer & orange floats. Everyone got to open one present.
