Way Behind!

So I am waaaay behind on my blog! It's hard not having the internet at my house. I will have it in St. George. Pictures to come!

Anyhoo...as most of you know my email got hacked into last week. I felt completely violated and felt so bad that a lot of you got my random "stuck in London" email. The hacker also deleted my blog! I was devestated as this is my journal! Luckily my brother helped me get it back (thanks again Eric).

Now since I'm totally weirded out so we are taking our blog private. Anyone wanting to still see it, please feel free to leave your email address in my comments. Or, if you know I have your email address then just let me know you want to see it after it's private.

Watch for pix soon!!

Goodbye Sadie!

We sold my cute little Saturn yesterday. I was so sad! But there were too many things that needed to be fixed on it and it wasn't worth it to us. I bought Sadie in 2000 when it was only 5 years old. It's been to Washington DC 3 times and back with minimal problems. I sure loved that car! Lots of good memories.

Happy Halloween!

We were all Fairy Princesses this year. I have to admit I enjoyed wearing a tutu! Dan asked me to make sure that you all knew that he didn't dress up as a fairy princess. He chose to just be a dad.

Ward Trunk-or-Treating ended up in the cultural hall because of rain. Here are some of our friends who were there that night:

Day Camping

We didn't get a chance to camp at all this summer. Since this is something we enjoy doing we decided to head up and do a little day camping. It's much easier than night camping: you don't have to take sleeping bags, tents, etc. All you do is take some matches and light a fire. We also took some hot chocolate and mugs to enjoy a good cup of chocolate while up in the cold mountains. It was a great day.

Lily's Quilt

I wanted to make Lily a quilt to put on her bed. Unfortunately Kara, being a newborn and all, cried a lot so I wasn't making much progress. My mom volunteered to help out and ended up doing most of the quilt by herself. Thanks mom! Sure turned out great!

September/October Birthdays

Dan turned 33 this year! Wow he is old!! (hee hee...that is the long standing joke with us. He is only 6 months older than I am!) For his birthday this year we went to my parent's house and enjoyed cake and presents. That night we went to his brother's house and celebrated with his brothers and their families.

We have a birthday party every month at Dan's brother's house. We celebrate everyone's birthday who has one in that month. It's really fun. Happy birthday Dan!!

Mom and Dad Mecham, Peyton (a little boy we were baby sitting), Dan and Lily right before he blew out the candles.

We celebrated Dan's birthday and his brother Chris' birthday at the monthly birthday party. Chris didn't make it to most of the party cuz he had to work. We're glad he got home to be in a picture at least!

We also celebrated my brother Travis' birthday. It was his first birthday being married and I'll bet it was the best birthday EVER, eh Travis?

Lily, Travis, Emily, Andrew and Kellie

My sister Shonnee also celebrated her birthday but my camera was dead and I didn't get any pictures. Her cake was my favorite of all time. It was fruit pizza. Yum yum! It was her 21st birthday...she mentioned that she was going to go to the local pub and enjoy a hamburger there very soon. A hamburger? I guess they have really good burgers. Happy birthday Shonnee!!

The Little Things

Travis and Kellie's Reception

So my brother found his soul mate after years of dating and searching. They had their reception on September 10th and got married September 11th. I didn't get a lot of pictures of them at the reception because I planned on taking a million at the temple. Unfortunately I forgot my camera! I was so sad. If anyone has pictures please email them to me so I can have some record of the most important day of my brother's life! Thanks!

Nature Center

For Labor Day we took a trip to the Nature Center. Here are some fun pix:

The trail to get to the Nature Center was beautiful!

The biggest pine cone I've ever seen.

Fly Lily, fly!

Lily was fascinated by this turtle. She didn't want to leave it.

Kara's Blessing

Kara was blessed on September 5, 2010. This was a different experience than when we blessed Lily. We had a ton of family come! After church we went to my parent's house and enjoyed a potluck meal.

This was Lily's blessing dress too! The afghan is from Dan's grandma that was made for Lily. Dan's grandma made little booties for Kara. They barely fit her feet are so big!

These ladies blessed their babies on the same day. We all did the whole pregnancy thing together from beginning to end: The one on the left had her baby on the same day as Lily. The one on the right had her baby the day after.

Sweet baby!

Cute Randomness

Grandma and Grandpa Southwick Come to Visit

We are always excited when Grandma and Grandpa Southwick come to visit! We had a blast going to the Olive Garden, playing at the park and going to the zoo. Thanks for all your thoughtfulness!

I didn't get a lot of pictures but I'm grateful Grandpa Southwick did! I will add them to the post when he sends me some.
